We’ve been receiving a large amount of spam emails this year, which has forced us to use stronger methods of filtering our mail.

While we’ve been getting to grips with the new software, it’s possible that one or two legitimate emails have been mistakenly labelled as spam and deleted.

During the week we will always answer emails on the same day they were received, or the following day if they were sent during the evening. Emails sent at the weekend will be answered on the Monday.

If you’ve sent an email within the last two to three weeks and haven’t received a reply, please send it again or call 015242 42478.

We receive a lot of calls asking for information on surface mounting.

Surface mounting is required when it’s not possible to place an electrical box (flush mounting) into the wall.

Our Standen, Osborne and Bakelite ranges can all be surface mounted as standard, but the Albany switches and all sockets require an electrical box to be fitted first. Sometimes it’s also preferable for surface mounting boxes to be fitted with the Standen, Osborne and Bakelite range too.

Olivers Lighting can provide surface mounting boxes, which are hidden by a wooden collar and enclosed by your switch or socket once screwed down on top. These collars are made to order, preferably with your switch and socket order, this allows us to make sure they fit the switch or socket they are to be used with.
